As we celebrate the glory of Easter and rejoice in the risen Prince of Peace, remember those who have no peace — the families of Syria whose lives are torn apart by war.
Your CNEWA family is partnering with local Eastern Catholic churches to ensure Syria’s vulnerable Christian families are not forgotten:
• Feeding the hungry. When
families are too frightened
to leave their homes, we provide them with emergency food aid.
- Caring for the sick. We supply the chronically ill with medicine they need to survive — especially Iraqi refugees who fled to Syria but are now on the run again.
- Helping families start over. Refugee children need to go to school, and their parents need to find work. We are helping them do it.
- Sheltering the homeless. We are finding places in Lebanon’s parishes and Christian institutions where refugee families can live.
